Wash Your Hands

One of the best ways to protect you and your loved ones from getting sick is the act of washing your hands. By washing your hands often, it can prevent the spread of germs from one person to another and throughout an entire community. For tips on effective hand washing, visit the CDC's When and How to Wash Your Hands page or watch the What You Need To Know About Handwashing video.

Don't Touch Your Face

Another tip to heed when out and about on essential trips is not touching your face. There is a possibility that someone can get COVID-19 by touching a surface or object that already has the virus on it, then touching their mouth, nose, or eyes. Avoid those chances by practicing frequent "hand hygiene" and routinely cleaning frequently-touched surfaces

Stand 6 Feet Away

Grocery shopping may be inevitable at times. While picking up the necessities, make sure to practice social distancing by standing 6 feet away and covering your mouth and nose with a cloth face cover.

Stay At Home

According to the CDC, "the best way to prevent illness is to avoid being exposed to this virus." Staying at home is the easiest way to avoid getting the disease from person-to-person contact. Try to make the best of your time at home by cleaning and disinfecting frequently-touched surfaces daily. For cleaning recommendations, peruse the CDC's Cleaning and Disinfection for Households page.

We're in This Together

Last but not least, we're in this together and the future is up to us. Do your part to help slow the spread of COVID-19 by staying informed and practicing all of the good hygiene tips above. Stay safe and healthy out there!
